In memory of international art star, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Reebok has teamed up with the estate of the late artist once again to create the Spring/Summer '10 Jean-Michel Basquiat Pack. Basquiat started as a graffiti writer in New York, and the latest edition from Reebok takes inspiration from one of his often untitled works (Suite of Fourteen Drawings) circa 1981. Graham Thompson calls Basquiat, "the first painter of African descent to become an international art icon", with such works as "Untitled (History of the Black People)" in 1983, and "Irony of Negro Policeman" (1981). The limited collection will include several Reebok staples – Omni Pump Lite, BB4600 Hi, and WMNS Pump Aerobic Lite Trainer Mid. Also, a matching matching graphic tee will go along with each pair. A combination of perforated leather, fabric and gum rubber sole, the Jean-Michel Basquiat x Reebok Omni Pump Lite is now available at select Reebok retailers.
