MISHKA x NEW ERA Throwback Death Adders 59Fifty Fitted Cap

I know we are pretty much known for snapback hats, but that doesn't mean that a nice fitted can't find it's way into the mix every once in a while. Team Mishka and New Era hits back with this one and they hit pretty hard. The Throwback Death Adders fitted comes in two different colorways but I must say I like the teal/black/magenta ones the best. The other one is old school red white and blue and not so bad either, both featuring mighty fresh graphic patch on the front and Mishka embroidered across the back. The Purple Pack: Nike Auto Trainer x Hornets Snapback Showcase

The Nike Auto Trainer Green/Purple Punch debuted back in June but because they so perfectly match our Grand Ma Ma edition snapback hat, they deserve another look. As green suede and leather tango on the upper, the quarter panel and toe box feature perforated leather with purple punch popping up on various hot spots on the shoe. They retail for only $85, and perhaps if because of both that and the fact that these sneakers scream old school freshness that they are currently so hard to find. Everyone was reporting them to be available at Wish but they are apparently sold out as I checked it out before posting this and all they had was the black/red colorways in stock. Here's to hoping that more turn up soon, we'll keep you posted.

For those that don't remember, Larry Johnson was selected first overall in the 1991 NBA Draft by the Hornets, and would win the NBA Rookie of the Year Award the following year. He also competed in the 1992 Slam-Dunk Championship at the NBA All-Star Weekend in Orlando, finishing second to Phoenix's Cedric Ceballos. Along with Alonzo Mourning, Muggsy Bogues and Rex Chapman, Johnson played with the Hornets at the height of their popularity in the early and mid-1990s. During this time, Johnson, who went by his initialism "LJ" and the nickname "Grandmama" (because of a popular Converse commercial), was featured on the cover of the premiere issue of SLAM Magazine. Suns on Fire: Phoenix Suns Snapback Cap

 

Charles Barkley was traded to Phoenix in the 1992–93 season, he averaged 25.6 points on .520 shooting, 12.2 rebounds and a career high 5.1 assists per game, leading the Suns to an NBA best 62–20 record. For his efforts, Barkley won the league's Most Valuable Player Award, and was selected to play in his seventh straight All-Star Game. He became the third player ever to win league MVP honors in the season immediately after being traded, established multiple career highs and led Phoenix to their first NBA Finals appearance since 1976. Despite Barkley's proclamation to Jordan, that it was "destiny" for the Suns to win the title, they were defeated in six games by the Bulls. 


The Phoenix Suns on fire snapback is definitely a blast from the past, to wear it almost takes you back to the mid 90s. It features most noticeably, a flame pattern wrapping the entire cap with the Suns logo embroidered across the front and the term "On Fire" on the back. It is one of the rare old school snapbacks that do not feature the classic characteristic green under bill as the design ops for a solid purple one with the word "Suns" embroidered on the top. The cap was part of an "On Fire" series as we posted the Bulls version a while back, the only thing is the Suns cap as of now is only available in youth sizes. That has not stopped them from flying off the shelf though, so hurry over to our snapback shop to pick one up today.   

This is a Great Halloween Prank

Well Halloween is right around the corner and as a adult I gotta say, my favorite thing about the holiday is some of the "costumes" that chicks break out to celebrate. I make the quote sings with my fingers as I say "costumes" because it seems that it's more less just an excuse to go out in the sluttiest outfit that the law will allow. He he, I love all hallows eve. 

A close second would have to be pranks. I mean, good pranks are funny anytime of the year but Halloween pranks are the best. In the clip, this guy scares the bejesus out of his girlfriend. What makes it hilarious is the fact that if you put your self in the girl's shoes, it's got to be absolutely frighting, like a scene right out of a horror movie. You have to check this out, it cracked me up.      

Kanye West Runaway Full Version

 

Kanye West debuted his Runway short film/music video this past Saturday on MTV to great acclaim from most. In fact, the video has only been on youtube for 2 days now and has managed to rack up 2 million hits. West stars along side a smokin hot Selita Ebanks in this 34 minute long art house display of visual creativity. The soundtrack to the short is supplied by none other than Mr. West himself in the way of several songs previously released on the net including the title track "Runaway".  If you haven't already witnessed the video check it out here.    

NYCC tokidoki x Street Fighter Fitted Cap

So tokidoki has previously presented us with there take on both Hello Kitty and the Marvel comic characters, which were both very nice. In the sprite of   the aforementioned New Era collaborations, the guys at tokidoki are at it again with there  NYCC tokidoki x Street Fighter New Era 59fifty fitted. The crown features Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li, and Sagat embroidery with a detailed underbill print of the tokidoki characters engaging in an old school stand off with the Street Fighter crew. The underbill is definitely the highlight of the hat in my opinion. Sorry I couldn't offer more pics I searched far and wide and could only find them on the tokidoki site. Orlando Magic Snapback & Starter Jacket Showcase

Ok, the weather is finally starting to cool off and not a moment sooner because it gets literally hot as hell in Texas. With the arrival of more temperate temptress comes the opportunity to break out the super fresh. So, another G.O.O.D Friday has come and gone and Kanye West drops another much anticipated track. This one featuring Lupe Fiasco, Big Sean, & Mos Def on the hook. I know it's been a few weeks since I posted a G.O.O.D Friday track but this one was too hot to pass up. 

Texas Rangers Snapback x New Balance Sonic 574

With the Texas Ranger knocking on the door of there very first World Series, (they are literally playing for the opportunity to close out the deal as I type) the team snapback hat is enjoying a rise in popularity. The Hickory Crawdads is a minor league base ball team in Hickory, North Carolina. Unless you have a family member in the minors or you are a really avid baseball fan, you probably haven't heard of the Crawdads. Well none of the previously listed stipulations apply to me but I'll tell you what, I am a fresh fan. And this snapback is fresh. In fact, I am learning that there are quite a few eye catching minor league snapbacks out there. I'll be showcasing more of them  in the near future and adding a few to our cap shop.

Dream Team Snapback Showcase

The 1992 Dream Team was not only the Original Olympic Super Squad, but undoubtedly the best Team USA basketball team since we started using pros. FYI traditionally composed of amateur players, a 1989 rule change by FIBA allowed USA Basketball to field teams with professional players.They completely dominated the compilation as they trampled all opposition in route to a gold medal.        

We all remember the Olympic edition Jays that were released earlier this year, well enter the perfect accessory to compliment them. The 'Dream Team" Snapback. Available in a variety of styles and colors from solid blue with red bills to solid white with multi color bills, they've proven to be both extremely fresh and hard to find. NCAA Live 95' The 1995 Final Four Snapback

The 95' Final Four included UCLA, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Oklahoma State, and featured stars like Vince Carter and the brothers Ed and Charles O'Bannon.  The UCLA Bruins finally collected their 11th NCAA title in ending a 20-year drought by beating Arkansas 89-78 and keeping Arkansas from repeating its crown.



We now bring you the snapback to commiserate the tournament, featuring the official tournament logo embroidered on the front and the all four participating teams on the bib for some designs and across the back on others I've seen. The hat also includes almost metallic like black stitching and old school characteristic green under bill.
