Nike files patent for auto-lace shoes

 A few days ago news started to circulate that Nike had filed a patent for auto-lace technology. As I conducted more expert research I was able to find out that this is not only in fact true but astronomically huge. This will no doubt revolutionize the shoe game as a whole, or at the very least push Nike that much further on my favorite shoe list.


Powered by what appears to be a powerpack within the shoe, they would automatically tighten themselves around the foot when a button on the side of the shoe is pressed. Its application is actually surprisingly logical, for walking shoes and heavy duty boots the feet need fully surrounding support which these automatic straps would provide. I included a clip from Back to the Future from which Nike flirts with the idea, and a second clip simply because I just can't get enough of these things.


 

Adidas Originals 2010 Fall Torsion Special Hi

Originally released in 1990, the Torsion Special Hi is making a come back after 20 years. The 90s saw the Torsion with a Gore-Tex upper to combat rainy days and promote flyness even in bad weather, but the re released versions will not be so practical. The fresh new colorways however, will just about make up for that though. The 2010 version will feature black and gray hues with just the right touch of red and Joe Rocken blue. Expect a release date of October 2010 through select adidas Originals retailers. More pics and updates coming soon. 

Undftd Fall Frist Look

As we inch ever closer to fall, and I for one can't wait Texas is literally hot as hell around this time of the year. I really hate buying stuff and having to stock it away for the season to come but with all the brands dropping there fall line ups it gets really tempting.

Undftd recently tweeted a preview of there fall collection including fresh Tees, jeans, rugs, caps wallets and canvas kicks. The 5 STRIKES ZIPPO LIGHTER is also a favorite of mine. Check out some of some of it and them head over to Undftd.com because it's available now.

Kanye West "Monster" ft. Jay Z, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross & Bon Iver

So I blogged earlier about Kanye West's new album coming soon and his first single "Power Remix". Well Kanye tweeted today that he will release a new 5 song album with Jay-Z entitled, Watch the Throne, and the second song off of this album is called “Monster” which Kanye liberated as a part of G.O.O.D. Friday. The song not only features Jay Z, but Rick Ross, Bon Iver, and Nicki Minaj. Stay tuned for more G.O.O.D. Music as Kanye has gone on the record saying that he will release new music from members of his G.O.O.D. Music label every Friday up until Christmas of this year. Fresh Fiending's Chick pick of the Week: Kisha

I met Ms. Kisha on one of the various social sites a little while back, and found out later that she molded. She recently has a shoot with D Brown for Dallas Honeys, a homegrown modeling agency here in the "D". Check out Ms. Kisha doing her thing.  Also in chick news, today I signed on as co-ceo of Gorilla Game modeling agency so look out for lots more hot girls and smokin streetwear here at Fresh Fiending.   

Nikeid Creations

Nike has been one of the hottest shoe brands and one of my favorites for a while, and for good reason. They never fail to impress, rather by linking up with star athletes and hot artist, or releasing a never ending horde of colorways they come through.

Nikeid is a service provided by the Nike Incorporation allowing customers to customize everything from kicks to goodies purchased from Nike. You the customer can literally become the designer as you change and add a personal look and feel to a selected item. The service was started initially in 1999 and could only be accessed through their website, but has come a long way in the 11 years past.

But I'm sure most of you are already aware of Nikeid, I say that to say this. I thinking of placing an order myself for the very first (of hopefully many... Holla @ me Nike) Joe Rocken x Nike editions. So for the next 2 weeks I'll be designing new pair of kicks and bloging them to get you guys opinion. Here's the first set, I present to you the Air Jordan Alpha 1 and the Air Maxumus 1. What do you think? 

Mishka 2010 Fall Collection Video

In some parts of the country the weather is starting to cool off (unfortunately not yet here in Texas), and brands everywhere are beginning to drop teasers of whats to come in there fall collections. Mishka has released a video previewing there some of there 2010 collection. The brand looks to offer a more preppier approach to some of there fall stuff, and the video gives us a good idea of what to look forward to. As a side note, yes the model is also SMOOOOOKIN.   

Kanye West - Power (Remix) Jay-Z & Swizz Beatz

Back and gearing up for his fifth and untitled release, Kanye West teamed up with Jay Z and Swizz Beatz for his Power Remix. West has made several radio appearances as of late to prep fans for the November 16th release.

When it cones to kicks, there's no shortage of eye popping colabos and must have creations.  Seriously, it can get hard to keep up sometimes. For that very reason, Fresh Fiending presents our "Fresh Five" Week in kicks review. 5. Nike Air Penny 1/2 Cent - Cranberry

I can remember when this style first dropped, I was in like 6th grade. Loved them then and I still love them now. Since Nike started re-releasing the classic style they have not failed to impress with new and improved colorways. The cranberry 1/2 cent is no exception. From the cranberry upper to the insane Lil Penny hologram on the sole, these were crafted to turn heads. Here's a little something for the ladies, Boston retailer CNCPTS has just gotten a fresh shipment of Nike's "Sweet High"  in two envious colorways. The textural combination of the super cool knit heel tab, gray cloth upper, and leather swoosh logo is more than enough to arise jealousy in this avid Nike fan. Sucks that these aren't available for men but oh well, ladies enjoy.

Slated for release this October, the Puma Leather Mid Velcro proves the age old adage, less is more. Available in several other colorways including black, the shoe incorporates a luxurious premium leather material  ans white sole. Simple but inviting. What do you get when you combine aspects from the Jordan 3, Jordan 4, Jordan 5, and Jordan 6? Just one of the dopest hybrid to ever grace the earth. Dubbed the"Olympic" the shoe features the Olympic Rings inspired tones as seen on the “Beijing”  Jordan 6. Also composed of a white patent leather upper with red, yellow, blue, green, and black accents appearing on the midsole. These just might draw mixed emotions from some but me, I'm sold.  

 

Flud Watches The Exchange

The guys at Flud Watches are back with more nice creations, this time in the form of the Exchange. Available in a variety of colors including  silver, sky blue, black, white and gun metal finishes, the Exchange has a futuristic look and feel to it. The rising sun effect in the right quadrant is also a nice addition making this watch must have accessory.

And let's face it, watches are basically nothing more than accessories now more so than ever. I mean they have lost a bit of practicality seeing as though everyone over the age of what, 6 has a cell phone now days.  So for someone like me to wear a watch, it has to be strictly for the fresh factor and the Exchange will certainly ad to anyone's FF.  Click here for more info.   
 

Asics x Culture Shoq Gel Lyte III Preview

 So Culture Shoq linked up with Asics a while back right, but ladies behold the  Gel Lyte III. The wildly popular colab unleashes yet another colorway with the white/black/purple edition.

The only thing  I like more than girls that work out, is girls that look fly while they work out. And ladies, these will defiantly be a step in the right direction. And on that note, how extremely hot is Amee Enger? Good job you guys in casting, you deserve a drink. Seriously, I would love to run into a girl this smokin when I hit tha gym. What time do they get there LOL. But let me get back to business, more info will be available soon on the release date of these girls.

   

Air Force 1: Anatomy Of An Urban Legend

For years all I wore was Air Force 1s, then suddenly a few years ago they completely fell out of favor with me. I think that it was because the lack of exclusivity, and for that reason I've been a dunk fan ever since.

But never the less, classics they are. So to honor them Nike will be releasing a documentary on the iconic shoe soon, there will be a screening Saturday (8/14) at the Apollo Theater at 10:30 AM. In the mean while here's a teaser. For more info check out Nike's Site
