Beardo...

Don't know if you guy have seen these yet but I came across them a few weeks back and thought they were hilarious. Beardo is the brainchild of Jeff Phillips, a Canadian-born winter enthusiast who has a passion for snowboarding. Jeff has been chasing perfect powder runs all around the globe and came up with the first make-shift Beardo in Whistler, B.C while at the Blackcomb mountain summit, at 7th heaven. Though this very first prototype was made using an old knit scarf and far from perfect, it has been severely refined (not thanks to Jeff's horrible knitting skills!) to the innovative and fully patented design that you see today.

Once the first few designs were put out to the public, we really didn’t know what to expect, but the response said it all. They were very quickly picked up by a range of people, not just skiers and snowboarders, as originally thought. As the design started gaining some recognition and press, more and more people became interested and even outdoor workers started using them on the job! Stop by there site to check out more and cop a few.

This is a BAPE “girl” line or just smaller facsimiles of its men’s collection, BAPE Ladies is expressively for the ladies. But who is a “BAPE Lady”? She is daring and bold, fun loving also. Still, she is quite sensuous, with enough street smarts to get by sudden challenges in life. The implied 50’s classic pinups in the Sailor Dress, the ultra adorable Milo Stripe Shirt Dress, to the body hugging Camo Hoop Knit Dress, every bit of the BAPE Lady characteristics are found in the latest BAPE Ladies Collection. Kobe Bryant x Nike Sportswear – Air Force 1 - Air Max 90 - Dunk Low

Although the apparel line harbors many direct correlations between the designs and the 4 mottos of K.O.B.E. (Know, Originate, Battle, Elevate) , that association is less prevalent on the kicks. Hints of the K.O.B.E. theme still can be seen, like the Nike Air Force 1s in colorways grey, brown, or black. But designers at Nike also made efforts to reconstitute a few models according to other Kobe Bryant themes, like the purple/black Air Max 90, in addition to the various Dunk Lows. Available in the coming months at Nike Sportswear retail locations.
